MaidPro Frederick Gives Cancer Patients the Gift of Clean

March 19, 2019

MaidPro Frederick in Maryland is helping cancer patients in their community through the Gift of Clean program. This program, in partnership with the James M. Stockman Cancer Institute in Frederick, provides local cancer patients with free home cleanings.

MaidPro Frederick owners Chris and Marcie Sprankle live down the street from the Stockman Cancer Institute, which is part of the Frederick Regional Health System. That’s why they decided it made sense to partner with the Institute to do something to give back to the community.

Each month, the support staff at the Stockman Cancer Institute refers one new patient to MaidPro Frederick. Each patient then receives four months of free home cleanings, which can be up to three hours per visit.

The Sprankles say they are grateful for the opportunity to positively contribute to the lives of patients who are fighting against cancer. The Sprankles understand that when a person battles cancer, their everyday focus must be on health and fighting the disease, leaving basic tasks, like house cleaning, difficult to manage or unattended.

The Gift of Clean is a MaidPro program that many of its franchisees use in partnership with local hospitals or nonprofit organizations to help others.

"When we originally contacted the James M. Stockman Cancer Institute in Frederick, they asked if we were willing to do cleans for both men and women. We said "we don't care who it is, we just want to help!"
