MaidPro Recognized by Boston Globe for Acts of Charity with Children's Homes

January 30, 2019

MaidPro was recently recognized in a Boston Globe feature story for the many charitable works performed through its non-profit MaidPro Cares program. The article highlighted MaidPro and several other Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for their volunteer programs.

MaidPro Cares is a support organization formed by MaidPro Franchise Corp. and funded by the company, its franchisees, and customers. Through MaidPro Cares, corporate volunteers and franchisees take part in a number of charitable activities, from visiting and making donations to orphanages and other facilities that help children across the globe to providing free cleaning services to breast-cancer survivors and helping to clean and organize low-income households with children.

A 501c3 non-profit organization, the primary mission of MaidPro Cares is to make a difference in the lives of orphaned and high-risk children in underfunded children’s homes around the world. To learn more about MaidPro Cares, visit http://www.maidprocares.org.

MaidPro brand manager, Madeline Park, was interviewed for the Globe article, as were several representatives of other companies on the Globe’s Top Places to Work for 2018 list. Park told the magazine that “sensitivity” is required when asking workers to do charitable work on behalf of their organizations, and also that companies must sometimes be willing to compensate workers for their time spent on volunteer activities.

In November 2018, MaidPro Franchise Corp. was named a Top Place to Work for 2018 by the Boston Globe. The list recognizes those companies that go above and beyond for their employees and is based on surveys completed by employees of companies throughout the state.
