From creating a software system to starting international offices, all the way down to the best cleaning supplies, MaidPro is always pushing to stay ahead in our industry and to implement best practices to streamline our success.”
MaidPro, currently in their 27th year, made their debut on the Franchise 500 in 2007 in the 249th spot. Since then they have continued to climb the rankings landing at a number of spots including 225th, 201st, 174th, 94th, and most recently 80th. MaidPro is joined on the list by some esteemed fellow franchisors including 7-Eleven, McDonald’s, and Dunkin’ Donuts.
“This may have been our most competitive ranking ever,” says Jason Feifer, editor in chief of Entrepreneur. “Our results show that the industry is strong-and that the strongest franchisors are those who’ve learned to balance between innovating to attract new customers and remaining reliable enough to keep the old ones happy.”
The report is created based on a formula of factors including system size, growth, cost and fees, financial strength and stability, brand strength, and support. This year, for the first time in 25 years, over 1,000 companies applied to become a Franchise 500. To be eligible, the franchisor must have a minimum 10 units open and operating as of July 31, 2017 (with at least one franchise located in either the U.S. or Canada). The companies must also be actively seeking new franchisees in the U.S. or Canada. They are then scored off a series of 150 data points; The companies with the highest scores become the Franchise 500 in ranking order.
